Sam Bryant wins coveted SFPE UK Award

OFR Consultants colleague and Fire Engineer Sam Bryant has won a coveted award from the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE). 

The annual awards programme celebrates individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the profession, advancement of the body of knowledge in higher education, service, mentorship, protection of humanity and the environment, chapter leadership, and rising leaders. 

Sam – who is part of our OFR team in Scotland – was presented the Research Project 2023 award for her paper on balcony fuel loads. The judges called it “a very interesting project” and that it “addresses a clear design and engineering need”, adding that its data was valuable. 

Judges also added that Sam’s work “is an important piece of research to assist engineers in day-to-day project work.”
