Helping colleagues enjoy a hybrid working future

Like many other businesses up and down the UK, we have been reviewing our day to day working practices since the pandemic – promoting hybrid and flexible ways of working; in this new blog our colleague Karen Hugh talks about the recent office moves that have empowered our people to work in an even more agile way.

Our teams in London and Edinburgh have recently moved into new workspaces – new environments that reflect the changing working world.

Each new space allows colleagues to work more effectively and flexibly when they want to meet face to face.

In London, a characterful new office at 19-21 Hatton Garden is located within an old diamond bank. With on-site bike parking and positioned close to Farringdon station and the new Elizabeth Line, as well as Chancery Lane tube station, this space is hugely accessible for both our team of 30 and any clients wishing to see us here. And whilst there are less desks, there is more collaboration space and meeting rooms, including a large meeting room that can host more than 60people which will be perfect for our in-person training sessions.

In Edinburgh, the team has relocated to Scott House in the heart of the city centre on South St Andrews Street. Located close to all transport links and with the potential for up to 10 desks, the space gives the team the flexibility to work from this city centre base as and when they choose.

Looking back at the past two years, there have obviously been challenges, but now, we see that it has been an opportunity to shape the future of how our business and our colleagues work.

Flexible working has always been the way in which OFR has operated, and long before the pandemic we had Teams and other tools in place to empower colleagues. We also put equal prominence on the importance of having the right space to meet, collaborate and discuss our work face to face and that’s why we’ve invested in these spaces to meet all colleagues’ needs. By providing our team with the options to help them work socially, we are confident that these new office bases will offer true hybrid working.
