Sustainability In Action: OFR Helps Revitalise Stave Hill Ecological Park
Last week, colleagues from our London office undertook some voluntary work at Stave Hill, a central London Ecological Park.
Since the 1970’s the park has been tended to by The Conversation Volunteers, a group of people who volunteer their time to manage the green space, transforming it into a place for communities to come together, and for wildlife to flourish.
Recognising the important work The Conversation Volunteer’s do, it was time for the OFR team to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in! With everything from pruning trees to chipping wood scraps in mulch, the team threw themselves in with gusto, and by the end of the day they had cleared a significant area of woodland. The woodland will eventually have pine trees planted in it, much to the delight of the local primary school children who have coined the area ‘Christmas Tree Forest’.
Well done to everyone who volunteered their time and got stuck in!
