FAQs

How long is the apprenticeship?
The Degree Level Apprenticeship Program spans over your four-year degree, during which you will undergo various developmental activities and assignments.

What will I achieve at the end of the apprenticeship?
Our programme is designed to help you develop competencies that are essential for achieving Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

What is the difference between this and a graduate position?
Our apprenticeships offer a hands-on route into fire engineering, combining on-the-job training with part-time study, allowing you to earn while you learn. It’s ideal for college or sixth form leavers (or anyone considering a change in career) who want to gain experience and qualifications without going to university.

In contrast, our graduate roles are for those who have already completed a relevant degree and are ready to apply their knowledge in a full-time fire engineering position.

Both paths offer exciting career opportunities, with training and support to help you grow in the industry.
