OFR welcomes four new colleagues in Scotland

In a period of rapid growth, leading fire engineering consultancy OFR has appointed four new colleagues to its team in Scotland.

The new recruits have joined OFR offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, supporting the team as they deliver multi-million-pound projects, offering fire engineering advice to clients.

The appointments include fire engineer Ben Dempsey – whose past body of work includes consulting on logistics centres for Amazon – and graduate fire engineer Will Everitt who both join the OFR Edinburgh team; Stephen McCrossan joins the team in Glasgow as a graduate engineer. Peter Meehan has also recently joined the Glasgow office as a Senior Engineer, bringing four years of experience working on large scale projects across the UK.

The new recruits take the OFR team to more 115 colleagues, with a continued year-on-year growth reflecting OFR’s success in delivering high quality, technically led, tailored fire safety solutions on projects across the UK and around the world. Since its inception in Manchester in 2016, it has extended its reach across the country, with the Scottish team recently moving into new premises in Edinburgh’s Scott House on South St Andrew’s Street.

Jamie Gibson is associate director OFR in Scotland and said: “We are proud to bring more great talent into our team.

“OFR has invested in its people across the country, ensuring that we have a fantastic team in place to support us on prominent projects in Scotland – from the redevelopment of Jenners in Edinburgh to our work with NHS Assure.

“The expertise of our fantastic colleagues – both old and new – helps us deliver great work in this region and beyond. We look forward to welcoming Ben, Will and Stephen and Peter to the team.”
